3. Data Collection in This App
No user accounts or tracking. This app:
- does not require user registration
- does not store personal user data on any server
- does not use tracking technologies
- does not use profiling or analytics tools
Users can access the app without providing personal information. All preferences (favorites, font choice, color scheme, music selection) are stored locally on the user's device only and are never transmitted.
4. Server Log Files
The hosting provider may automatically collect and store information in server log files that your browser automatically transmits. These may include: IP address, date and time of request, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, requested page. These logs are used solely for technical operation and security purposes. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. External API for Quotes
This app fetches inspirational quotes from external sources via a Cloudflare Worker proxy (masternews-proxy.snaumann.workers.dev). When fetching a quote, your browser connects to this proxy. The proxy itself relays requests to ZenQuotes and the publicly available Quotable dataset. We do not transmit any user data to these services. Connection information may be logged briefly for technical reasons. The respective provider's privacy policy applies for any external connection.
6. Data Retention
No personal user data is stored by this app. Server log files are retained only for the time necessary for security and technical purposes and are then automatically deleted.

- Right to rectification (Art. 16)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18)
